I created and played Square Paper Concert, the concert version of my game Square Paper City. In which I developed a custom version of the game, controlled by my machines in live.

She Wolves

Artistic Video Game

Made with the artist Eric Giraudet de Boudemange for the French art gallery, la Criée Centre d’Art Contemporain
At the crossroads of an ethnographic presentation and psychedelic delirium, She Wolves tells the story of a sheep farmer whose fate changes after a “massage of the soul” at the spa of Saint-Véran. A few years earlier, the wolf crossed the Italian border after a century of absence on French territory. Vernacular legends collected in the Alpine mountains stand out from the shadows, mixed with pop references from Twighlight to Twin Peaks. The mythical crosses the political in a new-age and transcendental narrative taking its sources in ecological matters, feminism, and folklore of the Queyras Valley.

Le Graal en Doom Like

The Grail in Doom-like is the second part of the video game Yvain!, imagined by the artist Éric Giraudet de Boudemange and the video game creator Tomavatars, producted by La Criée center for contemporary art. It was made during an art residency at the middle school of La Binquenais with two classes of 7th and 9th grade in december 2018 and february 2019.

Yvain

Yvain! is a video game – an artwork to be played – by artist Éric Giraudet de Boudemange, developed in collaboration with game designer Tomavatars. The project follows his residency with La Criée centre for contemporary art. This first experimental adventure game is inspired by a passage from the novel Yvain, the Knight to the Lion by Chrétien de Troyes, written in the twelfth century. Heartbroken, Yvain the knight flees civilization. He sinks into the forest, leaving his clothes, losing the use of speech and reason. In this contemporary interpretation, we guide the main character, at the paste of his lament, through an absurd and offbeat medieval universe, at the crossroads of courtly love and Game of Thrones.

Sdee & Dave 2.0 @ Stunfest

Video Game Concert / Performance

In 2015, Thomas Rougeron and Corentin Derbré conceptualize a video game concert and develop it to play it at the Stunfest 2015. Experience is rudimentary, only a few music elements control elements of the game. Since then, a year has passed and the duo became a trio with the arrival of Mathieu Labelle. The project becomes a live performance where the players and musicians perform a theatrical play, manipulate the video game with amazing controllers, where the game and the music communicate with each other completely and totaly. In summary, the game can only exist by the live performance of music and music can be completed only by the performance of the players.
– Team: Corentin is an Unreal Engine developer and 3D artist. Thomas is a musician and sound designer. Both develop video games together, like MacGuffin (2nd Indie prize at Stunfest 2015). They associate in 2015 with Mathieu Labelle, game designer and Unreal Engine developer, with whom Thomas has worked on the video game Wondershot (Playstation 4, Xbox One, Steam). Together they decide to develop the formula SDEE & Dave and fthey found the playful video creation studio Concrete Games.
– The game: It is specially designed for live performance. It is a Shoot em up game, taking several aspects and mechanics during the concert. As a tribute, the game is a journey through the history of this style around a wacky narration as Concrete Games knows so well how to do.
– Music: electronic and eclectic, it is dynamic and concert oriented. It sets the pace of the game and its difficulty. Inspired by multiple artists, it is modern and has design-oriented sounds.The development of this concept comes from the desire to make a live video game, theatrical and collective, as well as to create an explicitly represented music.
The aim is also to allow the player to become a performer on stage and do a performance like the superplayers. It is also made to raise the usually technical role of the developer and the pleasure of the player to an artistic field.The ambition of the project is that it is rare to see someone play a game at a concert, and the experience we offer increases the interest of the concert and adds a narrative through the progression of the game.It is important for us that music is played in a fun and interactive media.

Wondershot is a local multiplayer battle arena! You have only one ammo and one life to defeat your opponent. Each round, your weapon changes and the map does too. No luck, just skill !

First title made with my futur teammate Matolabu and the guys from Lazy Frogs, our jammers collective.

The object, a disc, is woven from threads of various identities, which intertwine and coil up in a chaos of quotations. Like a loop, this narrative has neither beginning nor end. The listener is free to imagine situations, twists and turns, characters from Odyssey. It is a new experience, of which the crew members are the chimera.

We composed an EP with our electronic musician band: me, Pavane, Labelle, Arley, Damo, Mioshe as an artist.

We performed some concerts with live painting, hardwares etc.
